isPermaLink="false">http://photorumors.com/?p=1104#comment-1798

"of course they will sell them. those few pieces of A900 sold would hardly pay for R&D" - sony uses new exmor sensors in it's main market - cameras - and that's fair good enough to return R&D costs.
I'd gladly never see back-illuminated sensors in Nikon/Canon cameras.

“of course they will sell them. those few pieces of A900 sold would hardly pay for R&D” – sony uses new exmor sensors in it’s main market – cameras – and that’s fair good enough to return R&D costs.<br

Also keep in mind that the sony-nikon cooperation is quite successful. And why would they change a good formula?

If I remember correctly, Nikon delivers the machines that make sensors to Sony.<br

If sony learned something is, that entry level buyers dont mind buying sony cameras because they are usually one lens no accessories, noname flash exP&Sers, but pros cannot be convinced to switch just by high resolution and low price.

of course they will sell them. those few pieces of A900 sold would hardly pay for R&D. If so, that would be very instrumental in selling me a new Sony, Alpha right now! Low light photography has been a huge problem for so long. An improvement of that caliber would really set the Alpha line apart from the pack!

I herd this same rumor through the rumor mill a few months back as well, I was excited then that it might be true.
