It's the little things like manual focusing, the position of every single button... And I do believe that it is for sure an option for anyone who needs every now and then more pixel. But this wouldn't make switch completely. Just like in Nikons noisy years, many adopted a Canon body with 2 or 3 lenses, and in the meantime, since the D3 and D300, almost all those Canon bodies are gone. At least talking about the people I know. But don't get me wrong, I do believe that this is a great camera, and I hope that this will have an impact on Nikons and Canons price for 35mm bodies, even though I don't believe that we see much movement, unless they come up with new bodies.

I don’t say that it’s not worth the money. But like a good tech geek I enjoy to see the new tech in action.who know next you might reread and regret your commets and some day come to realize that they were almost jake@$$esk....

just wanted to see the IQ from a exmor R DSLR, never expected it to be on there FF camera. and because i only update my camera every 4 years and and always a generation behind, the minor updates never realy mater, for that mater nor does any updates other than nikons, because the hole of my lens investment is with them. Just had to ratio my HVL-F58M Flash and, bam, all 6 came into play. No issues whatsoever. That's plenty good studio handling, my friend.I love the D3x's customizeable profiles. Way, way cool. And both the D3 and D3x's overall speed... but neither, in my opinion is worth the price they're being charged for at this point in time. In fact the A850 essentially makes the A900 superfluous, IMO (and, frankly, the A500 series pretty much ends the need for the A380, if there ever was one)...Color rendition, edge definition, an incredibly integrated photographic tool with a well designed wireless flash implementation with plenty of speed for $2k? No one's going to even think of asking about video. It'll blow them away as a purist's camera that is truly worth the dollar they spend on it.

Was working with an A900, 3 wireless ttl flashes and a 3 light (one ring) Profoto 2400D kit and, funnily enough, the whole thing gelled together perfectly. An EXMOR-R FF sensor just wouldn't see the same scope of lowlight sensitivity/gathering improvement as the 1/2.44" CMOS sensors do.The fact that the A550 is offering, for all intents and purposes, near D300s capability for $800 less or EOS 50D capability for $400 less is the truly exciting thing. If you're looking at the forest for the grubs, my friend, that's all you'll find.Kudos to Sony. Their LiveView, even if it does borrow a page from Olympus's now abandoned LV module, they just did it right. 4fps in LiveView? 7fps with focus lock? HDR? In body stabilization? Dual Card slots? ISO 12,800?!?! What the hell are you complaining about? Next you'll sound like that jack@$$ that can't buy a professional series DSLR because it's "ugly."Seriously.

EXMOR-R’s advantages really only come on the smaller sensors, and therefore it is used to much greater efficiency there. The DSLR-A550 14.2 megapixels Exmor™ CMOS.
The DSLR-A500 12.3 megapixels Exmor™ CMOS.
I am interested, but I can wait for a few reviews.

The Sony website says…<br

If you are a sports photographer then I suppose you might want something faster than an A900 (although it is plenty fast), however if you are a studio photographer what more could you want out of a 35mm camera than the A900 gives you? Resolution at ISO100-400 is superb, it has a wonderful view finder, and it will run circles around any medium format camera speed wise. Not to mention it's 1/3 the cost of a D3X.

Depends on what kind of a pro you are I suppose.
