As a filmmaker/photographer. The 7d is the most appealing dslr of all time. Full manual controls, variable frame rates, audio input, and a 35mm (cinema size) sensor. If Canon released this without any photo abilities I would pick one up, but the fact that it's going to take great quality images is a serious bonus. This is also coming from a die hard Nikon man. But the NIkon video end of things has been letting me down. We will see when the d700s is announced. All they need to do is add manual controls to their video mode and scrap motion jpeg and I will be sold. Especially on a d700 with the pixel density being so low. that is all haha Personally.
