K-mounts DO need bigger sensors however, mounts are separate story.

hey, I got a Ricoh GX200 and I love it, granted its not my main camera I also have a Nikon D700, and I also have a smaller Pentax DSLR but in my own little battle to find the best point and shoot this could be a good one especially if the keep the same dimensions of the other Ricohs it would be cool.

I think this rumors is for the old fake picture Ricoh camera with Pentax 15mm lens…

So this could be the beginning of compact cameras with decent size sensor. It is about the time these silly 1/2.5″ things gave way for something usable yet small when you need it..

Hm… that’s interesting. I always thought that Pentax will go the bigger road – full frame cameras and advanced DSLRs – rather than micro road like Olympus did….
now when Ricoh will make micro-K mount Pentax will invest too and we’ll have DSLR market split into two – the big brothers: Canon, Nikon, Sony – and the micro brothers: Olympus & Pentax.
