Excellent, now I wonder how many cross type points this will have.

  • SteveHood

The EVF seems weak for a top end mirrorless camera.

  • BP2012

In compare to X-PRO1 and X-T1 they just pump up the megapixels?

  • doge

that xpro2 is a good looking camera.

    Base ISO 200 🙁

Also, I would like to Fuji to make improvements over the battery life.

But I’m looking forward for real life tests for:
    High ISO performance
    AF accuracy and speed
    AF performance in low light
    Dynamic range

I’m more interested by X-T2, but those performances should be the same I guess.

If the X-T2 is not a huge step over the X-T1, I think I’m gonna upgrade my DSLR for a cheap used D7200 and wait for a real new generation of mirrorless bodies… or see if Nikon will announce an interesting new mirrorless system soon (they supposed to, late this year)

  • Marco –

In few years, when fuji reaches the present level of samsung nx1 (out for more than one year, now), I could decide that fuji can become my next system.

    • Sebastien

I don’t own any of both system, but I think that Fuji have better optics, maybe best glasses of all mirrorless systems, as long as you like to shoot with primes.

      • Marco –

Samsung 85mm is outstanding (zeiss level or even more, according to Andrew from eosHD and other reviewers. On dxo it scored very high even on old nx20 (20mp). The macro is also quite good, but not outstanding and the 45mm f1.8 is again a great lens with very fast af.

The two s lenses are then outstanding for being zooms. They have a quality rivalling primes in the same fl. And af is blazing fast.

For now, fuji is no-no for sports and fast moving targets, while nx1 is d4s level (with fw 1.4).

But since samsung is killing nx, I have to think which system to choose in, say, 3-5 years from now.

Just shoot for 3 years and come back then. The camera landscape will be intirely different 3-5 years from now.

          • Marco –

I agree. That’s what I’ll do (hoping that nx1 go on working great for years to come) 😛

I heard the 16-50mm f/2 or whatever it is is disappointing wide open.

          • Marco –

A bit soft at 50/2.8; very good, sharp and contrasty otherwise. At least my sample.

            50-150 is even better.

          • JoeJohnBear

$1300 for a bit soft at 50mm f/2.8 doesn’t sound outstanding to me.

          • Marco –

Less soft than canon/nikon/sony 24-70/2.8 at any aperture.

            Never tried the fuji.

          • JoeJohnBear

You’ve used the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 mark ii or Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 ED VR at 70mm (on the 5D3 / D810 / 7DII / D7200)? 50mm f/2.8 is sharper on the Samsung than 35mm at f/8 on the modern Canon and Nikon’s? That doesn’t sound right at all.

          • Marco –

Tested both. S lens on nx1 at 50/2.8 is sharper than canon at 70/2.8 on a 6d and nikon at 70/2.8 on a d4s and at 50/2.8 on a d7200.

          • JoeJohnBear

I’m talking wide open. Stopped down, a thrifty fifty is just as sharp as 2k L lenses. Hardly a pressing test.

          • Marco –

            I was also talking wide open. Again, 16-50 at 50 and 2.8 on nx1 in my tests was sharper than 24-70 at 70 and 2.8 on a 6d and than a 24-70 at 70 and 2.8 on a d4s and at 50 and 2.8 on a d7200.

          • JoeJohnBear

Gotcha. Are you talking corners? Are you on a tripod with locked focus / consistent shooting discipline? http://matteverglade.com/lenses/samsung-16-50mm-f2-2-8-s-review/
