And finally few words from Michael Penn who won the PhotoRumors.com Fuji X100 giveaway:
As my prize from PhotoRumors and Adorama arrived today I couldn’t wait to hit the street. The X100 is a very well built camera with stunning photo image quality. The menu seemed straight forward and it didn’t take more than a few minutes to find out where everything was. Auto focus worked well even in a dark bar. The combination OVF/EVF in genius to cover all bases and the metering is fantastic. For a street photographer a 35mm lens is the sweet spot and seems a perfect choice for this sensor. High ISO (6400) is the best I’ve seen and could give the Nikon D3s a run for it’s money at a fraction of the price.
What I think would make this camera better. Better manual focus, maybe. Replace the “RAW” button with an “ISO” button so the “FN” button can be freed up. I have to say the Auto ISO works very well. Switch from “RAF” raw files to DNG. Finally include a 49mm filter adapter.
Bravo Fuji you raised the bar.
