→ Canon filed a patent for an Image Stabilization (IS) converter-like device that can be added to any lens without changing the focal length.


→ Another patent describes new Canon 24mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.3 and 300mm f/4 lenses with refractive index distribution element.


→ Canon also got a patent for AF solution (phase difference) with translucent mirror.
