Samsung made an official statement to AmateurPhotographer denying any rumors about Nikon buying Samsung NX technology:
"Samsung has denied that Nikon is buying its NX technology, saying that media reports are ‘not true’ in an official statement sent to Amateur Photographer magazine."
This is really a strange official response since the standard line is almost always "we do not comment on rumors". Few weeks ago Samsung USA made a statement that they are not exiting the camera business. Keep in mind that this was Samsung USA and they are still selling cameras in the US. The second report about Samsung pulling out of the UK market came from Samsung UK, which is a separate entity.
