Another unexpected surprise from Sony: today the company announced a new HX350 compact 50x super zoom Cybershot camera (not available in the US yet):

• ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* lens with 50x optical zoom and 100x Clear Image Zoom for close-ups
• Manual controls and electronic viewfinder in a compact DSLR-style body
• Back-illuminated Exmor RTM CMOS sensor with 20.4 effective megapixels and BIONZ X image processing engine
• Optical SteadyShot and Intelligent Active Mode Full HD movies
