Last week CanonRumors reported that the new Canon full frame mirrorless camera is coming soon and is already being tested by select Canon pro photographers. Today Nokishita confirmed this rumor and posted several new Canon camera registrations that include also two new mirrorless models:
K424
Interchangeable lens camera
Full frame
Wi-Fi · Bluetooth installed
It is described as a mirrorless full frame (6720 × 4480) in the test data (since the detail column is filled with almost the same data as 5D Mark IV [K349], the image size may be a dummy possibility)
K433
Interchangeable lens camera
Wi-Fi · Bluetooth installed
It is described as a mirrorless full frame in the test data (it is the same as the data of K424, so it is possible that the initial setting data was diverted for testing)
K436
Lens interchangeable camera (probably single lens reflex)
Wi-Fi · Bluetooth installed
K437
Lens interchangeable camera (probably single lens reflex)
Wi-Fi · Bluetooth installed
EC801
Compact digital camera
Wi-Fi · Bluetooth installed
EC804
Compact digital camera
Wi-Fi · Bluetooth installed
More functions than EC 801 and EC 805 (probably G series)
EC 805
Compact digital camera
Wi-Fi · Bluetooth installed
EC 811
Mirror-less camera
Wi-Fi · Bluetooth installed
The situation with the upcoming Nikon mirrorless camera is similar and I will not be surprised if both companies announce their new mirrorless cameras back to back, just like in the good old days. Sony will soon get some serious competition in the full-frame mirrorless market and this is a good thing for all users.
