Updated Fujifilm GFX lens roadmap released

In addition to the new camera and lenses, today Fujifilm released also an updated GFX roadmap with two new additions:

Additional information on the new interchangeable lenses added to the roadmap:

Ultra-telephoto prime lens
This is an ultra-telephoto prime lens with the focal length of 500mm (equivalent to 396mm in the 35mm film format). The introduction of this lens doubles GF lenses’ telephoto-region coverage from 250mm to 500mm. It can be fitted with a teleconverter to extend the reach further up to 700mm (equivalent to 554mm in the 35mm film format). This makes it possible to capture a distant subject, previously unreachable with the existing GF lens lineup, allowing users to use large format sensor’s world of high-resolution and high-quality imagery to photograph birds and other wildlife as well as airplanes.

Power zoom lens
This is a motorized zoom lens that covers the standard range of focal lengths, suitable for shooting stills as well as videos. It is fully motorized even for operating iris, focus and zoom to achieve precise and smooth movements, thus delivering descriptive and expressive performance that meet professional needs.
