Expect more price increases on photo gear: the new US tariff on imports from Japan is now 15%

After the initial suggestion for a 25% tariff, the Trump administration reached a new deal today that includes a 15% tariff on all products coming from Japan. The effective US tariff rate on Japanese imports before the announcement was approximately 2%, according to World Bank data. Please note that tariffs are not calculated based on the final selling price in the US, but rather on the import invoice/declared value price.
