ThinkTank Photo CityWalker 10 shoulder camera bag hands-on review

In September ThinkTank Photo announced their new CityWalker shoulder camera bags. Here is a quick hands-on review based on a pre-production model (the bag is not shipping yet).

The new CityWalker is available in three different sizes (1020 and 30) and two different colors (black and blue). The main features are:

The bag can fit a full frame DSLR camera with an attached small (prime) lens, 70-200mm f/2.8 lens (reversed hood) and has some extra space for a flash or another small lens.

The main insert is removable and can turn the CityWalker 10 into a regular shoulder bags.

External material: All fabric exterior treated with a DWR coating while fabric underside is coated with PU for superior water resistance, YKK® RC Fuse (abrasion resistant) zippers, 420D velocity nylon, 420D high-density nylon, 600D brushed polyester, 250D shadow rip-stop polyester, Derrington™ mesh pockets, antique nickel plated metal hardware, Dual Cross™ Buckle, 3D air mesh, mono mesh, 3-ply bonded nylon thread.

Internal material: PE board reinforced removable closed cell foam dividers, 210D silver-toned nylon, PU backed velex liner, 2x PU coated nylon 210T seam-sealed taffeta rain cover, 3-ply bonded nylon thread.

You can also use the bag only for lenses (three lenses will easily fit inside).

The CityWalker 10 has the "Sound Silencer" feature that lets you open the bag without the annoying Velcro sounds when you are in a quiet environment.

There are three different pockets that can fit an iPad or another tablet - two inside and one outside of the main compartment.

The CityWalker 10 comes with a rain cover that has an opening on the front for a fast access to the side pocket.

The bag strap is well padded and has non-slip patterns.

The side pockets can fit a water bottle (or a lens).
