Irix lenses started in March this year with a teaser and now they already have several lenses in their line-up. On their website, the Irix is described as "Swiss precision and Korean ingenious solutions that make a powerful mix". There have been some speculations online that Samyang could be behind the Irix brand and I may now have the proof to back up this statement: the Facebook page of Samyang in Spain was recently changed to Irix Spain:
Many previous references to Samyang seem to be already removed from the Facebook page, but you can still find some if you go back to old posts.
