Leica SL2 camera officially announced
The Leica SL2 camera is now officially announced with a new 47MP sensor, IBIS, Maestro III processor, 5.76MP OLED EVF, improved ergonomics and weather sealing. The Leica SL2 will be available on November 21st at a list price of $5995. Pre-orders are now open at Adorama, B&H and Park Camera (UK). The basic SL2 specifications are:
- 47MP CMOS sensor offering twice the resolution
- Speedy Maestro III processor for up to 20 fps shooting
- 5-axis in-body image stabilization
- Full Frame Cine 4k (60 fps) video recording
- Top-of-the-line 5.76MP OLED Electronic Viewfinder
- Larger and more detailed 3.2” touchscreen
- Updated Wi-Fi with bluetooth
- Dual UHS-II SD card slots
- USB 3.1 Type-C port for tethering and power
- IP54 weather-sealed full metal body made from aluminum and magnesium
- Streamlined menu interface and button layout
