Light Lens Lab has a new white ceramic limited edition version of their 35mm f/2 eight-element lens for Leica M-mount (a portion of the sales proceeds will be used for disaster aid in Japan):
LIGHT LENS LAB M 35mm f/2 'The White Edition' is a limited edition model with only 200 pieces produced worldwide. The glossy white color creates a special presence. Also included is a hood (L-IROOA), UV filter (L-UV E39), front cap, and rear cap that matches the lens color, allowing you to enjoy a unified, high-quality view of the world.
LIGHT LENS LAB M 35mm f/2 is a Leica M mount lens that uses a double Gauss type lens configuration and a brass barrel. It was commercialized as a result of a reproduction project that Mr. Zhou, a Chinese investor, has been working on for over three years, and it is very similar to the earliest Leica ``35mm F2'', commonly known as the ``Eight Ball''. It has performance.
The lens is made from a raw material similar to the glass material of the original lens, and the coating, lens barrel design, and method of fixing the focus ring at infinity have also been reproduced. Furthermore, ruby is used luxuriously for the lens mounting index, and the lens barrel is made of brass for durability, giving it a more solid and luxurious feel than the original aluminum alloy lens. Due to the overall finish and high reproducibility of the product, it is nicknamed ``Shuhachi'' by Leica users and is attracting a lot of attention.
