OLED/AMOLED screens coming to a camera near you

The rumored Samsung NX3 camera will not be be the first camera with an AMOLED display (there is no substantial difference between OLED & AMOLED - Active Matrix is just a way of controlling individual pixels). OLED screens are already available on several models (as production costs are dropping): Nikon just released a p&s camera with a touchscreen OLED display: the Nikon S70. The first camera with an OLED screen was the Samsung TL320. It is interesting that such improvement were first introduced in the lower level products instead of pro-models. Samsung is considered to be the OLED leader in the industry. Here is a comparison between AMOLED and TFT screens:

Outside the camera world several cell phones and the next Zune HD are expected to have OLED screens.
