The latest patents from Canon, Panasonic, Tamron and Ricoh



Here is an update on the latest patents since my last post:

Canon



→ Canon 2mm f/1.4 lens designed for 1/3" sensor.



Canon EF 2x DOE teleconverter (with Diffractive Optical Element).



Canon 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 lens patent with liquid element design.



Canon patented an interchangeable lens cap (between the mount and front of the lens):



Canon filed a patent to automatically select the best RAW picture from a sequence and save it in RAW format (remaining pictures saved in JPG).

Panasonic



→ Panasonic has a new patent for 35-100mm f/4 lens (4/3 equivalent).



→ Panasonic has also patented 24-64mm f/2.8 lens (35mm equivalent).

Olympus



→ The latest patent from Olympus is for a 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 lens.



→ Olympus filed a patent for a camera with LED lights.

Tamron



→ Tamron filed a patent for a 10-50mm f/3.5-5.6 VC fisheye lens.

Ricoh



→ Ricoh filed a patent for a 8.17mm f/1.4 lens designed for 2/3" sensor. They also patented another lens for 2/3" sensor - 35mm f/1.4 lens:

Velbon filed a patent for a switchable aspect tripod head.



→ Konica Minolta filed a patent for a 70mm f/3.5 medium format lens.
