The latest patents from Ricoh, Olympus, Canon and Fuji

 

→ Ricoh continues to file lens patents for a camera with a small sensor: 6mm f/1.8 lens designed for a 1.5" sensor and 16mm f/1.4 lens designed for a 2/3" sensor.

  

Olympus filed a patent for a camera lens module for smart phones (similar to the Sony QX series)



→ Olympus got a new patent application for a 5.2-64.3mm f/2.8 lens for 1/1.7" sensor (24-300mm equivalent). Could this lens be used in the Stylus1 replacement?



→ Canon filed a patent for a 35mm f/1.4 lens.



→ Canon filed a patent for a EF-M 55-250mm f/4.5-6.3 lens (for Canon's EOS M mirrorless product line).



→ Another Canon patent for reducing ghosting.



Fujifilm patented a way to correct ghosting (caused by strong backlight) during in-camera image processing.
