The new Olympus Air camera module for smartphones is just like the Sony QX1





In addition to the E-M5II camera, lenses and accessories, Olympus Japan announced a new smartphone camera module based on the Open Platform Community (OPC) prototype that was announced few months ago. Olympus calls it a "clip camera", but the concept is the same as the Sony QX1 ($398): the unit has a 16MP sensor and MFT mount where you can attach MFT lenses (all controls are performed from a smartphone):

Shipping starts on March 6, the price will be less than $300. For now, this product is announced and available only in Japan.
