The Sony 12-24mm uses distortion correction in the body to keep it’s size down, but Sigma couldn’t design a lens that small for DSLR that performs that well.
Sigma used to be skeptical about distortion correction in the body, but it’s gotten very good.
Sigma plans to release another APS-C lens for Sony around Photokina 2018.
Sigma can covert your Canon EF mount Sigma glass to Sony-E mount for a charge and convert it back again if you wish.
