The CIPA report for August is out: everything is down except mirrorless shipped value (up 2%)
CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association in Japan) released their August numbers - the downturn continues similar to last month and the month before in terms of year over year percentages, except that mirrorless shipped value is up another 2%. - DSLR Shipped Value -44%
- Mirrorless Units -13%
- Mirrorless Shipped Value +6%
- Compact Units -20%
- Compact Shipped Value -15%
- Lenses for smaller than 35mm Units -31%
- Lenses for smaller than 35mm Shipped Value -29%
- Lenses for 35mm and larger Units -14%
- Lenses for 35mm and larger Shipped Value -2%
- Mirrorless unit share (of Mirrorless + DSLR) 43.9%
- Mirrorless Shipped Value share 59.1%
