The latest patents from Sigma, Sony, Panasonic and Olympus

The latest patents from Sigma, Sony, Panasonic and Olympus:

A new Sigma patent describes a Foveon sensor with a dual pixel design: each pixel has a green layer, the second layer has an alternating pattern of red and blue pixels.

Sony patented a new updated mirrorless mount design, not sure how they are going to use that.

Panasonic filed a patent for a high-sensitive image sensor with photon-counting ability.

Olympus filed a patent for several full-frame lenses: 17mm f/1.4, 20mm f/1.4, 24mm f/1.4, 28mm f/1.4, 28mm f/2.0, 35mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.4 - also not sure what Olympus has in mind with those patents.

Olympus also had a patent for a 400mm f/4 MFT lens (see diagram above), but there were rumors that this particular lens was canceled by Olympus.
