As usual, Nikon and Canon will again announce their new products one day apart – a tradition that has been ongoing for decades. Here are the latest rumored specifications of the upcoming Nikon Zr and Canon EOS C50 video-oriented/cinema full-frame cameras:

 Nikon Zr

  • Brick-shaped, video-oriented design, without pentaprism and EVF – a combination of the current RED models design, the Sony FX3, and the Nikon Z30
  • Many features and tech from RED will be incorporated inside
  • Z6 III sensor (24MP)
  • Very large LCD screen
  • 6K (intra-frame compression)
  • Image stabilization
  • 1 SD and 1 microSD card slots
  • Announcement: September 10th

Canon C50

  • 32MP full frame sensor
  • Design similar to Sony FX3
  • Red shutter button and C logo (for cinema line)
  • Fully articulating screen
  • No EVF
  • No IBIS
  • 6K Recording
  • 4K 120P With a Crop
  • Triple Base ISO
  • Dual SD Card Slots
  • Open Gate recording
  • 15+ stops dynamic range
  • C-Log 2, C-Log 3
