Today is the day for Fuji and Olympus to release their point and shoot assault. Too much to cover everything here (most of those cameras were already discussed in previous posts in the past few weeks) so make sure you check those site for all the glory details:

Fuji is expected to release more than a dozen new cameras before PMA (yes, you read that correctly). There will be some new instant film cameras. I already covered the Fuji HS10, now some more details about the rest of the bunch:

The previously rumored Fuji Micro s10EXR will actually be the already mentioned Fuji HS10 model.
I think this will be the most exciting product at PMA this year. We are talking about CMOS, back-illuminated sensor here folks! No m4/3 mount as I mention already.

The previously rumored Fuji cameras are the foreign versions of some of the models that will be released in the US. For example, the s2500 will be the s2550 in the US, the s1730 will be the s1800 and the s1600 and jx530 may not be released in the US.

The leaked FujiFilm cameras will be announced on February 2nd, 2010. The previously reported rumors (see here and here) about a new Micro Four Thirds camera from Fuji at PMA is now busted.
