DJI Neo 2 drone officially announced worldwide except the US


The previously leaked and rumored DJI Neo 2 drone is now officially announced with hands-free gesture controls, LiDAR, faster flight, obstacle avoidance, longer flight time, and a bigger battery:

  • Weight and Design: 151g lightweight with integrated propeller guards and omnidirectional obstacle sensing using LiDAR and IR sensors.
  • Camera: 12MP 1/2-inch CMOS sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 2-axis gimbal for stabilization.
  • Video Capabilities: 4K recording up to 100fps, 2.7K vertical video, slow-motion support.
  • Flight Performance: Up to 19 minutes flight time, wind resistance to 38 kph, tracking speeds up to 12 m/s in 8 directions.
  • Controls and Modes: Gesture and voice control, palm takeoff/landing, QuickShots (Dronie, Circle, etc.), SelfieShot, ActiveTrack.
  • Storage and Transfer: 49GB internal storage, Wi-Fi transfer up to 80 MB/s to DJI Fly app.
  • Compatibility: Works with DJI app, RC-N3 remote (10km range), motion controller, FPV goggles.

On December 23, 2025, DJI will face an automatic ban in the United States:
