For tomorrow: Pentax Theta 360 camera and Fuji XF 23mm f/1.4 R lens announcements

For tomorrow’s scheduled press event Ricoh will most likely announce a new 360° camera called Pentax Theta 360. Ricoh’s 360 degree panoramic camera prototype

During the 2013 CES show Ricoh had a new 360 degree panoramic camera prototype on display at their booth. Last year I reported the rumor that Pentax is working on a 360 degree camera which was later on display during Photokina. It seems that Pentax/Ricoh have not given up on that idea yet. Via Gizmag

Prototype of rumored Pentax 360 degree digital camera shown at Photokina

Back in May I reported a rumor that Pentax is working on a new 360 degree digital camera. Quesabesde spotted a prototype of the camera at Photokina: “It is a device consisting of two circular chambers, presumably with a coverage of 180 degree each, capable of generating a spherical image with a single shot.”
