fake
yes, but it is a good fake
At only 1080g of weight, it’s less than Canon and Nikon’s 70-200 2.8′s!
Although it’s very likely to be fake, I do see how it could be real.
Knowing Sony, they could actually produce a monster like this just to convince the regular people that unbelievably incredible photos are possible on the Sony SLRs.
Marketting thing.
We made it ‘cuz we CAN!
I bet it will be around the same weight the Sigma 200-500 f2.8 does. But hey, one can dream!
It looks like a dummy of a real project, not like a fake. That means it could come – or die before its birth due to economical crisis…
Greetz
Aa 80-200 1.4 would be so sick!
It would be great… but one problem….
It would cost about as much as my car!!!
This would be awesome, but probably fake.
I highly doubt any SLR could focus a f1.4 telephoto lens at 200mm accurately. The depth of field would be paper thin. As well, if you have ever held a Canon 200mm F1.8 you will know how bloody huge and heavy it is. This lens is way too light.
