i’m dang excited about this little olympus! i’ve wanted something to run my rangefinder lenses on that was still able to fit in a tiny bag, in my jacket pocket, or around my neck without being a bother, and yet still be as inconspicuous as the original rangefinder body. this is it i believe.

now let’s just hope they come out with a black version! that orange leather has to go as well, nothing that can’t be fixed though. ;)

I think there is future in this format, I am just wondering why Nikon and Canon are not jumping in.

Because once a year the japanese companies (Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Pentax, Panasonic, Sony, etc) met each other in a meeting to discuss what their company is working on and specialize in that area to avoid any unnecessary competition.

I think Olympus said (or was it a rumor?) that this will not be the final color. I will try to find the link.

Will this work with the Panasonic lenses?

My understanding is that the M43 mounts are the same, and Olympus and Panasonic lenses would work on the other brand’s cameras.
