Nice video. Well, the painting would be useless for me. But the new warping mode is quite impressive. I would like to have this to set some stitched panoramas straight.
That was cool…
the main tools are the same since 10 years , there is no needs for painting tools for a photographer
I guess that’s why they brought PS Lightroom
You’re CRAZY. There is plenty of reasons for artists who do photography to want this! As for the distortion tool, that’s going to be helpful in some cases of photomanipulation, especially with complex lens distortions that can’t easily be solved. That being said, they should really update the lens distortion correction to handle more complext distortions and possibly even build a camera/lens database for the major manufacturers.
FINALLY, “Photoshop Painter”! This better be the real thing, we have waited forever for this feature in a convincing way. And this looks great. Painter should have sold itself to Adobe when it had the chance..
When might CS5 be released, by the way?
You can add one thing to the demo: the code name for the project is White Rabbit. That was exposed at least once during demos during PhotoshopWorld.
The painting tools have existed in Fractal Painter since the early 1990′s. Good to see Adobe catching up.
Since we now have plenty of pixels for most of our printing needs, I wondered if we would hit a plateau. But when you think of a camera as a Photoshop input device, and you expect to warp the image as these tools show, then you’d like to have at least 4 times as many pixels to keep it clean. That 2x per row and 2x per column for a 4x total. So if a 12MP camera is good enough now, you’ll want a 48 MP camera in the future.
