oh… these guys released info on the recent Olympus dslr~
Rumors must’ve come to a complete halt in the photo world for this to make it in here.
wonder what’s new about them
i thought sony will start using their new Exmor R CMOS image sensor more
but they don’t have the X in their model name
i guess these don’t have them.
Wow. Jim, that’s really good prediction.
on top of that the quality is handled in China.
However, W is sony’s nearly high end compact.
I started with offering much more manual control.
they now got rid of F line and P line.
with T and W are long lived models from Sony so i’m assuming
they are doing something nice on these.
I personally never expected too much from this line but… whatever….
Alpha is only product i like from sony.
W290 has been one of the most highly rated compact point and shoots from any company since its inception. The W series has been widely lauded for picture quality, speed, and ease of use, especially for the price, for some time now. Not necessarily the most innovative product, for sure, but there is something to be said for consistency, no doubt. And Sony knows what they’re doing with Cybershot, else they wouldn’t still be #1 or #2 in the world. Funny how the memory stick media doesn’t slow down the Europeans or Japanese. Americans are so stuck on their brands….
