Some Olympus rumors (new EP-3 and E520 replacement)

I got some Olympus rumors: in the first half of 2010 Olympus will announce the EP-3 with new lenses. The Olympus E520 will be replaced in the first quarter of 2010.

I thought the EP-2 just came out!

Olympus really likes screwing early adopters huh?

How does that work? Does the camera they purchased get worse? Lose anything? No. Releasing a subsequent product hardly ’screws’ anyone. I suppose those few people who have to have the latest and greatest would then have to get another camera, but that is a choice and not one Olympus made.

      agreed.

but still it’s kinda pathetic… I mean… next episodes of never-ending novel produced by EA called “FIFA” are published less often than Olympus cameras!

That EP-3 must be really nice if EP-2 will be discontinued so soon.

E-P3 could be an “SLR style” mFT along the lines of a 7/8 scale OM-1 with IBIS, AF assist, built in hi-res EVF and long awaited flip LCD of non-stone ages (i.e., usual Olympus 230MP) resolution. Only 1 1/2 years behind Panny’s G1, so better be something special.
