The rumored date for the next Pentax announcement is February 24, 2010 (it could be +/- 1day in the US). This is weird because PMA ends at February 23rd.
My guess is that this announcement will be for the recently leaked Pentax W90, which appears to be another waterproof p&s camera. Not sure why this model was not announced with the last batch of compact Pentax cameras.

I think there is a small chance of a DSLR happening soon for Pentax. I have noticed recently there has been some small price drops on there K-x model. Usually the standard rate is $550 for the Pentax k-x with a 18-55mm lens and I have seen it as low at about $510 to $525. (been interested just maybe getting one as an extra camera???)
Maybe a Pentax K-x2 is coming out???? The K-x has been a hit for Pentax. It seems like a smart move to have a new higher cost version and use the new camera as a logical reason (excuse) to lower the cost of the present K-x model so be even more competitive in the DSLR market.
Just my rambling thought.

The kx is indeed a huge hit. AT my camera store where i work I always try to sell them, atleast when nikon isint paying us 25 bucks per d500 and 17 per d3000.
Note to buyers, When at Canadian camera stores salesmans say Nikon is the best, its because they pay us for every camera sold while canon does not
