the only viable camera in the Indie race is the Panny 43 one. Red & his creator are full of themselves. Sony & panasonic are for pros & indies.
Red are real. Their problem is that they announce things left and right way too long before they have anything to show. It makes them seem as makers of vaporware, which they aren’t. Another thing that bothers me with Red are their constant attack on DSLRs and constant comparisons to Scarlet, which isn’t even real yet. We get that the Canon doesn’t have raw output, but it’s good enough for now. Oh, and it’s frikkin FF35 for peanuts compared to a 5000 USD 2/3″-sensor Scarlet.
The Epic looks awesome. Love how compact it is. The others will be playing catch up for a long time.
The 4/3 vid cam is exciting, especially with the lens compatibility, thats the kind of video camera I would buy, something I could use all my pricey nikon glass with but was specializied for video , I hope nikon makes a similar product with a DX or FX sensor.
