Are you able to include dimensions or actual size pics? Probably most of us have not handled these cameras. We as a group might also appreciate the size of a rebel/d40 and the smallest “good quality” P&S for comparison. This would be interesting food for thought at least.
yes very interesting to compare to the size of say a g11, a great p&s option, or a entry level dslr. hopefully this new sony will have great optics
The sensor looks like it’s 4:3 instead of 3:2. I’m sill hoping for something larger than Micro Four Thirds.
It will be APS-C. This is the first compelling Sony product I’ve seen to date.
The 4/3 cameras are only so slightly bigger then a G11 for those that were wondering, practically the same size
sony’s evil have imo gigantic proportions.
and this camera is bigger too
More pictures from the Sony NEX are in the new german magazine DigitalPHOTO 606/2010 on the pages 043 and 114.
On page 114 are 3 different lenses (1 big Telezoom?) and 3 bodies (blue, red and silver) to see.
were those the pictures?

because those are the prototypes and not the real camera. Let me know. Thanks.
“The dimensions of the Sony NEX camera may not be exact…” Should be followed by “So this comparison isn’t really worth anything.”
Maybe someone put crazy pills in my breakfast, but I seriously don’t get posts like this. The lines are a nice touch, but useless.
This is based on proportion from previous leaks (I guess the ratio between the mount and the location of the logo, etc) – of course it may not be accurate and this is why it’s posted on this site – consider it as a rumor.
Imagine a post here saying, “the Sony NEX could be smaller than the Olympus or it could be bigger”, instead of the picture. Not very useful, rumor or not.
