Few days ago Sony announced the S003 Cyber-shot phone in Japan. Here are the basic specs:

  • 12.1 MP
  • Sony Exmor image sensor
  • 3.2 inch TFT display (480 x 854 pixels) with 16.7 million colors
  • Dimensions: 118 x 52 x 17.6 mm
  • Weighs 154 grams

    Sony, until now, doesn´t have any CMOS Exmor sensor of 12MPx, I am almost 100% sure this is the new 1/1.8″ 12MPx CMOS Exmor R (Back-light) in the Nokia 8.

      A cell phone will not have a sensor as large as 1/1.7″, and if there were a bullet-point as important as “back-lit,” you can be sure it would be in the headlines.
