Are all of those fake? (Panasonic LX5, GF2, GH2, FZ48, FZ100)

Every once in a while we get a fake/photoshopped image of an upcoming camera, but 5 of them at the same time?

And the corresponding release dates:

What do you think?

lens markings on the lx5 look like the same as the lx3. same lens, same sized sensor, same form factor.. where’s the upgrade? just better processing?

well… FZ48 and FZ100 have the same grip, zoom lever and lens. i mean, literally the same, almost pixel by pixel.

and the GH2′s lens has the same reflections as this one: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonicdmcgh1/

According to 43rumors.com, they’re all fakes. They originate at this blog…

Apparently this person is known for his high quality renderings of future camera models.

Very nice, apparently. Someone should give him a job.

LX5 24-85 equivalent FL writing is not appropriately curved. Seems fake picture.
FZ100 lens same aperture range and same size than FZ35. FL 144mm is also not appropriately curved. Also seems fake picture.
And since all “leaked” pictures are of black models makes me suspicious.

    All fakes.

I do think there will be a GF2, GH2 ,LX5 and FZ48 soon (never heard anything about the fz100) but the pictures are fake.

I would like to see a new sensor using Invisage tecnologie.

After all hype of back-side illumination versus real world results, I am suspicious of actual performance of these “quantum dots”. Better not to hold your breath ;-)

  • Graham

Compare the FZ48 and FZ100. They have the same aperture at the long end, but one is 86.4mm and the other 144mm focal length. So how come they are the same diameter?
