The descriptions are poorly translated english (big time). Fake.

MJ, try reading more carefully — these photos and specs come directly from Panasonic’s website.
does it have 2.8 aperture up to higher than 60mm ?
What good is 720p60 when the sensor output is 720p30? Skip the interpolation and save the space on the card. Users could frame double after the fact if they like.
Do you think possible this new sensor improve 1 point of sensitivity comparing currrent sensor?
Not really a “leak” when it’s official!
It is a leak because the official announcement is few days away. Early Monday morning those entries will be removed.
this is not the first time products are displayed on their website for a short period of time before announcement
YOu forgot to mention the step zoom(like Ricoh) as a difference between the LX3 and LX5….
As I said already – the pages were removed, this was a leak! In two days will see the official press release.
The LX-5 also has:
“High CRI (Color Rendering Index) LED backlight”
This seems new – an LED back-lit LCD? Sounds good, but what’s the good stuff that comes with this?
The LX5 seems the copycat of similar to Ricoh GRD3
Very disappointing…
I agree, the zoom range is a bit wider, but that’s the only real improvment, and it doesn’t look as good as the lx3…
lolz @ super evolved ccd sensor. should just use 1/1.63″ back illuminated cmos sensor
The big difference is hight ISO 3200 to ISO 12800, so maybe we necessary to wait to we look picture quality on ISO 12800.
6400* / 12800* (* by pixel mixed readout)
could be just some gimmick . iso 3200 and below should be not much diff than LX3.
At 320×240 res it could work
anything bellow iso 800 in the lx3 is preaty much useless, iso 12800? Yeah…right…
