Next week: new Panasonic 3D Camcorder

An update from PCWord (yep, we are talking about consumer camcorder):

The camcorder, details of which are not yet available, will be shown at a Tokyo news conference scheduled for July 28, the company said Wednesday. It will be the first 3D-capable camcorder for the consumer market from a major manufacturer.

Akihabaranews reports that Panasonic will announce a new 3D camcorder next week. No further details are known at that point.

Panasonic already has a professional 3D camera - the AG-3DA1:

Sorry panasonic…3d is a gimmick & you just won’t be selling more than a handful of these. Give us cameras that we want.

3D is such a fake gimmick. It wont be cool until they will make movies completely on computers in 3D and besides that, until we have 50″+ TVs that can display multi angled motion pictures.
So I can have a somewhat real 3D effect as i move my head around or walk across the room… :-P
