   Wide angle focal lenght? Hopefully wider than G10. What about that sensor, same as S95?

   LX3 to LX5, no improvement in sensor
   s90 to S95 same no improvement
   g11 to g12 . gonna be same also.

   compact cam technology has come to an end?

     LX3 to LX5 gave better low light performance.

     I would ask you to stop looking at megapixels. What they have now is plenty.

   I’d buy one if it had constant aperture of 2.8 with a smaller zoom range and was a little wider say 5mm-20mm.

   I don’t get it. I know its sensor has a tighter pixel density, but 10mp doesn’t sound all that impressive to me. A better viewfinder and maybe 16mp would get me to buy one. I like the concept. Add interchangeable lenses while they’re at it.

     10 mp on a P&S is plenty. 16 mp is diminishing returns.

       Olga, back off on the Canon Koolaid…you’re getting tipsy! Canon, Sony, Nikon and all the rest just love people who must have the latest, and greatest.

       What will a 60D (or whatever they call it) do for you your 7D won’t?

       Other than HD video and that new scroll wheel, what will a G12 do my G11 won’t?

    I have a G9. The dynamic range is not particularly good, highlights are “all white” while at the same time the dark areas are “jet black”.

    Is the G11 better than G9 wrt dynamic range, and can we expect G12 to be better than G11?
