NikonRumors.com is back online

NikonRumors.com is now online. It may take several hours until the server changes propagation is complete and all ISP have updated their routers. If you cannot access NikonRumors.com directly, try http://173.45.162.91. I am not going to discuss again the details of why NR went down, I did that already on Twitter and Facebook.

NikonRumors now has a new dedicated server and a new host (NationalNet). There could be some interruptions in the next few days, until I fine-tune the site.

Coming up next: Nikon files patents for a 80-400mm f/3.5-5.6 lens and a back illuminated sensor.

Yeah now the mirrored site (http://173.45.162.91.) doesn’t load at all.

the 173.45.162.91 is the actual IP address of the new server, once the DNS gets updated, you should be able to access it directly by going to nikonrumors.com

NRadmin — Are you under some sort of DoS attack? Seems like the spirits of the internets are trying to keep you down for Photokina. (??) :(

Admin, 10 hours ago, I could read NR with the IP address without background, formatting or pictures. The ads were working fine. Now it does not access anything at all, either by name or IP.

I only got it once, not anymore. Hope problem is solved, we need our daily fix of rumors, no matter how wrong it turns out to be ;) .

BTW, I started a thread at DPR and the debate about D7000′s specs is still going on. Some say it’s just D90′s replacement, some say it’ll be the TOP DX model. Maybe neither. My interest concentrates in two aspects: new AF and new sensor. I may well upgrade from D80 to D7000, no need to wait for D400, as I was planning. The saved money would go for purchase of 24-120 f/4 or an f/2.8 midrange zoom.

I wouldnt wait for a D400 either…i like my D300 but with these D7000 specs there isnt much more to expect…or to want…the only problem is to know if the D90 series support the CLS as commander (the built-in flash)….

The D90 did already…, wonder why they would remove it from this series, only if it A: doesnt feature built in flash anymore or B: has gone to radio transmitter in the body

If these specs are true, at the rumored price (1,200USD for body), a D400 may become redundant for Nikon users. The 7D is already doing the job for Canonites and selling very well. Well, 2 more weeks!

I’ll have to check your thread out there, rhl. The next upgrade point from my D90 will be 18mp FX or thereabouts. I’m thinking the D7000 won’t be that camera but the D400 might, sometime in 2011. At least I’ll have time to save.

The framework of the page loads (bg/foreground/ads) fine if you use www. ,but there is no written content. If you use the IP address the content loads as does all else.

Guys, there is nothing else I can do – the site is up and running, your ISP must update their DNS entries and I have no control over that. You have to also delete the cache in your browser and refresh. I am not displaying the godaddy ads – they are cached somewhere along the way.

Can you post a link that work (we could click on it and then favorite the link) ?
      Thank you.
