For tomorrow: Pentax K-r, DA 35mm f/2.4 AL lens and two Optio cameras

Tomorrow (September 10th.) Pentax will announce:

  • Pentax K-r:  12.4 MP CMOS sensor, Safox IX AF module, 6 im/s in JPEG mode, 96% 0.85x pentamirror viewfinder, 3" 921,000 dots LCD screen, Li-ion battery with optional AA-batteries adapter, infra-red data transmission;  649$ body only, 699$ with 18-55mm.
  • Pentax DA 35mm f/2.4 AL lens:  one aspherical lens, bayonet made of polycarbonate, 45mm (length), 124g, 0.3m minimum focus distance;  199$.
  • Two new Pentax Optio point and shoot cameras.

    yo my man for the last time is KR going to be weather sealed? I could care less about what battery it uses so long as it is not a crank shaft. Guess I’ll wait til it is announced. F it gonna go buy a Polaroid

    This is a true story….last night I had a dream about new dslrs releases from Pentax. There were 3 dslrs, K-4, K-6 (or was it k-8?) and a K-5 ~ kx. They all look like pyramids coated in a velvet texture thingy. I accidentally damaged one.

    I’m trying to decipher and interpret my dream. I think the dream is telling me the new release will be a disappointment, the missus think I need to get a life and go on medication.

    True story though.
