Mysterious Olympus device submitted to the FCC

The device above was recently submitted to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) for approval. Engadget speculates that this could be a GPS unit or file transfer device for the Olympus PEN system, since it matches its accessory port located below the hot shoe.
