Sony NEX 3 discontinued and ready to be replaced

Sony Japan lists the NEX 3 mirrorless camera as discontinued on their website. It seems that the NEX products are on a 12 months refresh cycle (Sony NEX 3 was introduced in May of 2010).

On a related news, a Bloomberg's article mentions that Sony expects to gain a record 15% market share in high-end cameras with new models:

"Sony Corp. expects to boost its share of global shipments of cameras with interchangeable lenses to a record this fiscal year, helped by the introduction of new models, the head of the business said.

We’re currently discussing our next target, and that will certainly be higher than 15 percent.”
