B&H now taking pre-orders for the Fuji X100

fuji x100 B&H now taking pre orders for the Fuji X100

B&H just started taking pre-orders for the Fuji X100. Based on past behavior, this indicates that shipment is expected in the next 1-2 weeks. B&H also did not have a waiting list before, so if you order now there is a good chance you may get the camera by the end of the month.

Note also that after Fuji acknowledged delays in the X100 shipment, they also temporary halted the production of the X100 in Japan. This camera will be backordered for a very long time.

This must be a rumor. There is no “Add to Cart” button on the X100 page at 4:10 pm today.

It was open for pre-order for several hours. I was able to get mine in last night and my card has already been charged.

I looked at the photo samples on dpreview and noticed the focal length is 24mm; I thought the camera was 35mm?

correction: they are saying the focal length is 23MM

Are you saying this camera’s lens is about a 23mm and it equals about 35mm from the crop factor? That makes sense.
I would be pretty interested in this camera if it had the equivalent of a 23MM (15mm) lens.
I would buy this camera if it had a lens equivalent somewhere between 14mm and 18mm. However, I’m sure that would be difficult to keep small with low distortion.

      23mm * 1.5x conversion factor = 34.5mm equivalent FOV.
