These flashes are going to look terrible on the X100 body. Too generic for such a wonderfully retro and solid camera.
Indeed these are definitely not designed *for* the x100, even if labeled compatible.
These are Sunpak units (presumably slightly customized for Fuji – specific contacts and firmware). The EF-20 is an RD2000, the EF-42 is a PZ42X.
What’s shocking is the price difference:
The EF-20 is $150 on B&H compared to $65 for the RD2000 (2.3X)
The EF-42 is $230 compared to $140 for the PZ42X (1.6X)
That’s pretty terrible.
