“quite useful” seems a strange way to describe your new product. Was announced on photoblog today

    Same EVF than NX10/11.

Is this higher resolution than the previous one? VF-2 looked really blocky to me, but I can see how a very high res one could be even better than an optical viewfinder (live preview, compose in B&W, etc).

      And with smaller picture displayed…
      Better be real cheap…

    the VF-2 has a 1,440,000 dots display (~800*600 RBG) and magnification 1.15x.
this works out to an effective pixel pitch of approx 95% of the VF-3, meaning that this new EVF should be is somewhat more ‘blocky’/pixelated than the old one (but also cheaper i presume).

i’m not sure to if all this means panasonic is or is not more likely to release an higher quality EVF?
(which i very much would like that they do…)

It would be nice to see somebody make an add-on EVF at least as good as the G3/GH2 (1.4x i.e. 0.7x 35mm-equiv magnification), although I understand the VF-3 is hitting a bigger market.
