Rumor: Samsung NX20 delayed because of Sony NEX-7 EVF

I received some information that the Samsung NX20 was delayed because if its EFV and the recent Sony NEX-7 announcement. The initial plans were both NX cameras to be introduced this summer. It seems that Samsung engineers wanted to do some final adjustments to the  NX20 EVF before the official release. The camera will soon be in production. Announcement is expected in the next few months.

The previous Samsung NX10 model is no longer available for sale.

    I already figured this out, but very dissapointed if they wont review their sensor as well, as the first ISO 3200 samples are no better then NX10

      Frosti, check how the sensor performs in RAW.

      Sammy’s JPEG engine literally ruins IQ: to me unpolished RAWs look better.

      I couldn’t find the NX11 at the three major online retailers in the US – maybe it’s discontinued as well.

        It’s easy to find in Europe, lots in stock. Anyway, it’s a really small upgrade to NX10, but I’d expect Samsung to keep it available until NX20 is ready. They need to increase market share and it’s difficult to do that without cameras availble in the stores. NX10 was a really good camera with a pretty good kit lens, but it must be hard to compete with the big names for Samsung.

    NX11 is not available in US, never it was.

    First rumors were that both NX200 and NX20 will use 18MP sensor. I guess the 20MP sensor was the last minute change so Samsung didn’t have time to make NX200 and NX20 in time. Instead they make the NX200 and delayed NX20. It makes sense to me, might not be true.
