Lo-fi Micro Four Thirds camera lens

Photojojo added to their store a new Lo-fi lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras:

  • 25mm lens with an aperture range of f/1.4 to f/16
  • Manual focus
  • Two pieces: lens and C mount adapter
  • Focuses down to 0.3 meters
  • Lens length is 4cm; weighs 300g
  • 37mm diameter
  • 25mm focal length which is like having a 50mm lens on a 35mm camera
  • Works with all Olympus and Panasonic Micro 4/3 Cameras; does not work with the Sony NEX

    300g – weird – can’t believe.

Same here. 300g is heavier than GF3, E-PM1 and E-PL3. Weird.

It is just a c-mount adapter and a no-name 25mm f1.4 c-mount lens and that costs just around $32 at ebay. This is overpriced!

This is even worse than slrmagic! at least they tried to disguise the lens!!

You should be able to find this for no more than $15 and if you buy in bulk from the maker it can be as low as $5 a piece!

Lisa is right, this lens looks absolutely identical (down to the NEAR – FAR focus ring) to the cheap CCTV lens I got, and the lens and mount together cost a fraction of what they’re selling this for.

    I suspect 300g is a misprint for 30g.

The lens coverage doesn’t cover the 4/3 sensor, so you get heavy vignetting (especially at smaller apertures), and wide open you get very ‘swirly’ out of focus areas which some people find particularly nauseating!

well i thought that µ4/3 have low-fi feature built in? What’s next?

It’s the CCTV lense that you can found on Ebay for
    32,90 USD :D
