Ok, I’m first, even if it doesn’t mean anything.

Nope you’re second. So your pointless post is even more pointless.

Now for a real comment. This seems incredible low. There must be somehting wrong with this camera or the design. I’m not understanding this at all. I guess if you sell a few thousands a $999 it really doesn’t matter if it get poor ratings and it stinks. Go on, take the money and run.

Yep, there are few things wrong. Still the same frustrating bugs. Especially painful RAW development limited to SPP, slow everything, very bad high Iso IQ, no interchangeable mount, video ignorance…

But dont’ forget you get to brag- “MY SENSOR IS BIGGER THAN YOUR SENSOR!”.

Wonderfull, wonderfull camera’s. But the bigest problem by far is no support for Lightroom. This needs to be an essential for Sigma and they better make it happen very, very fast. The slow speed is not a problem for me, it’s a different beast. Better high iso ect, i hope it will improve with the next generation Foveons.

I think with such a focal length, the BIGGEST problem is the lack of an Optional external EVF. I like my dp2m but cannot use LCD only especially not for a “portrait lens”

I agree on the viewfinder part. What I would like to see in the next generation Foveon camera’s is a rangefinder style camera with a big and bright OPTICAL finder combined with some essential info like the histogram. (They can do this) If this means the camera will be a few hundred bucks more expensive, so be it. The Foveon is like using a medium format film camera in terms of speed and image quality (not dynamic range and skinn tones yet, hope they will improbe this to) so why not make a kind of digital Mamiya 7 style camera? This would be a dream come true.

I think Sigma learned their lesson with the SD1 (overpricing), plus the sensors for those cameras have poor high ISO.

This isn’t a typical run and gun type of camera, so something with specialized or limited use isn’t going to sell to masses. The DPx Merrils are very special camera, and for fans this is great news!

Don’t you have to divide the number of pixels by three anyways, since it’s a Foveon? …

“46 MP” should be in quotation marks.

      Just like D800′s “36MP”, 5D3′s “22MP”, etc.
